Should you click the Chat button you would be sent to a Chat Room. You could also change the "Channels" you were in. There were a few chat rooms only available for people using Diablo 2 and there were a few chat rooms that could be accessed by anyobody playing a video game made by that company (Blizzard) You could even somewhat make your own chat rooms by changing the name of the "channel" and you could also whisper and squelch users. Whisper is kind of like Private Messaging and Squelching is like making it to where you cannot see their text.
